Death & burial information from EF (not checked)

Benjamin first appeared in the Broseley / Jackfield area of Shropshire in the mid 1800's with his first wife Alice and their family. Alice died in 1761 and Benjamin then took as his wife Frances Lloyd, who was formally his housekeeper, and it is from this line that the Finney's as we know them descend.

In his life Benjamin created & ran a successful brickmaking business which was carried on by his sons after his death in 1793

The Will dated 24 January 1793 (Proved Hereford 25 February 1793). Sole Executor : Andrew Macalaster of Broseley.

Benjamin owned property in Broseley and Madeley Wood. In his Will, he left a house to each of his sons. His son Benjamin also inherited his silver watch. To Frances Lloyd, he left property and an income for life.
